  1. These are real nice words ... loved the echo behind each of them.

    However, if you don't mind, I would say that this is more a poem than a haiku. The rules of haiku are a bit different. A haiku is a set of 3 lines following the 5-7-5 syllable count format. This means that the first line has 5 syllables, the 2nd line has 7, while the 3rd line again has 5 syllables. You can check my link here for more details :-)

  2. I don't quite know what the original poem (or haiku) is or was, so can't quite suggest on that. This current one is a haiku, as far as I can tell.

    Welcome to Haiku Heights, as you say it is your first time with us. I agree with Mr. Speck on a majority extent. Less than 17 syllables in any form over three lines would be agreeable too I think.
